Snakes on a plane backlash

OK, fine, I'm going. But I feel very manipulated by this whole phenomenon. Going to this movie is for mid-twenties-hipster-blogger types what buying J. Crew is for people who live in Georgetown, or what eating organic tofu is for Middlebury grads. It's all just so expected.
Obviously the only way to redeem myself from this act of demographic predictability is to go see Pulse as soon as possible. If has Veronica Mars, THE INTERNET, and what the WaPo reviewer describes as "creatures who look like us after a Japanese avant-garde redesign -- sort of cadaverous and smeary and crackly all at once," a description that could have been cribbed directly from a Pitchfork review of pretty much any experimental electronica. Awesome! Let's go!
