Octobering

Technically it's been October for six days but my comprehensive exams left me relatively unable to enjoy it. Now, however, the Octobering begins in earnest! Here are my plans for the weekends:
  1. This weekend: off to Vermont for Lee family events. I expect and will firmly demand foliage.
  2. Next weekend (the 16th): extremely brief trip to Boston for Mike and Julia's wedding...although I wanted to make a longer weekend of it, money and time considerations made it impossible. Still, I am looking forward to the event. FASHION QUESTION: is it appropriate to wear fishnet tights to a wedding? Relevant details: the dress is black and not super-short (knee-length), I'm going for a sort of retro look overall (long pearls), they're the really small weave kind (like this), the wedding is in a church and the reception is at a hotel, GODDAMMIT I think I may have just talked myself out if this while writing it.
  3. The following weekend is the LAST ONE BEFORE HALLOWEEN (the email should be going out SOON, maybe even today) and as such will be entirely devoted to costume construction and finishing up coffin assembly.
  4. and then...Fickeween 2009!
